Travel Diary: Molten Stores Jessy Cameron Takes Us Along On Her Hong Kong Buying Trip

Travel is at the heart of Molten Store's offering; an online treasure chest where you'll find otherworldly jewellery and curious gifts. Jessy, the Director, packed her bags earlier this month and spent two weeks sourcing new goodies in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is an incredible city; calm and chaotic in the same breath. As a bowerbird by nature she was inspired by the plentiful of markets, and has returned with new finds (think tribal inspired jewels and hand embellished clutches) that will start to arrive online at Molten Store in December - just in time for high summer. She also found countless little wares to bring home for herself - from a tasseled wooden jewellery box to a handmade leather bag in a brilliant pewter hue. Here she shares her travel diary with The Love Assembly and tips on travelling in style:Travel Diary - Molten Store

TRAVEL IN STYLE / Jessy's five tips

* Only pack items from your wardrobe that you love; if it is ill-fitting or uncomfortable, it's probably going to stay buried in your suitcase.* Embrace a bohemian mindset and wear your hair and clothing differently to how you do at home. Tie your hair in a tousled braid, throw a printed scarf over your shoulder and belt at the waist, or purchase a smattering of trinket jewellery and layer it all at once.* Assemble your carry-on essentials the night before you fly out. A beautifully scented body balm (Grown Alchemist gets my vote) and warm socks equate to luxury when you've been in the air for hours.* Download Shazam to note obscure music you hear in cafes or boutiques while abroad; I love the idea of collecting new music as a souvenir.* Learn the basics of the local language; a simple 'please' and 'thank you' coupled with a smile will take you far.All quotes and photographs: Jessy from Molten StoreCollage: Aubrey Daquinag for The Love Assembly
