THROUGH THE LENS—THE LUMIX GM1 CAMERA
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Panasonic's new camera - the Lumix GM1. I already had my eye on this camera (I'm a little camera obsessed) so you could imagine how thrilled I was to be invited to a beautiful high tea with the team to learn about its features. Ever since then I've taken it with me everywhere!
It's about the size of a playing card (nice and compact!) but doesn't compromise on image quality - it's 16 megapixels and has 1080p HD video recording. It also has a touch LCD screen, creative filters, interchangeable lens (with a 12-32mm kit lens) and even has wifi, making uploading all your photos to social media a breeze! The retro body in black and silver is my favourite combo; it also comes in tan/silver, white/silver and all black. I've added my old tan leather wrist strap to it while I wait for a new neck strap that I ordered to arrive in the mail, it's those little things that just complete the look! I couldn't think of anything more perfect to keep in hand when I don't want to lug around my SLR, especially when I'm on the road and exploring the world. This is the kind of camera I've been waiting for - compact yet still able to provide excellent image quality & stylish - it's got that old school look I love. So happy to take it on my upcoming travels!
