Digital or film - making time stand still behind the lens is one of my favourite things to do! I never leave for my travels without one (or all!) because I think pictures are the best souvenirs you can take home from any trip. I have a range of cameras I particularly love and because I have had a few questions about what camera I use, I thought I'd take you through my top 5: Canon S100

1. Canon s100

This is my main man! I carry this guy pretty much everywhere and I love the quality of photographs I can capture with its 12megapixels. It’s a compact pocket camera at 198g and fits in all of my bags, even my Céline and COMME. The main reason why I got this was because I wanted a pocket camera that still had manual control and this fit the description! You can play around with the aperture, white balance, shutter speed etc. (which I actually prefer in a compact digital camera.) It also has full HD video so filming is also another option!**Upgraded this point and shoot to the Panasonic Lumix GM1, full post here.

2 & 3. Fuji Instax Mini & Fuji Instax Wide

Who doesn’t love polaroids?! They’re raw, instant and probably the only film that I ever print these days. Sad, but true. I have the mini spitting out credit card sized bundles of instant joy perfect for keeping pictures of loved ones in my wallet and the wide - double the photo size (ideal), double the weight (not ideal), but still a favourite!

4. Canon 5D Mark II

I bought this SLR about 2 years ago. It was around the time when I started to really think about what I wanted to do in life and ended up going down the road of Photography since I knew I was a really visual person. So I went all out, did a course, assisted for a while and then dropped some big ones on this camera - I convinced myself that I needed to make an investment. I spent just about a year doing freelance photography with this and there’s no doubt it produces amazing quality but I don’t agree on having to buy an expensive camera to take great photos. I think Darren says it well, “You can spend all your money in professional equipment, but if you don’t have the skill to use it, it’s pretty much worthless. Likewise, even if your equipment isn’t top notch, you can still accomplish wonderful things, as long as you know what it is capable of.” Canon 5DMII-2

5. iPhone 5

The iPhone 5 camera is so good. Which is handy because I use it for everything - phone, emails on the go, music and camera. You can even get different lenses to have fun with it like a fisheye, wide angle or macro - I'm obsessed! I like to change my covers often too, here's some cute covers and cases to dress yours up:
