Hong Kong Flower Market: A Photo Diary
Sundays don't normally feel complete at home without a local market date with two simple things: coffee and a bunch of flowers. I made that happen on the other side of the world with a visit to Hong Kong's Flower Market in Kowloon. It was filled with an abundance of scents, colours and (during my visit in May) peonies and hydrangeas - two of my favourite blooms.I can't possibly put into words how much happiness beams from being surrounded by so many flowers, so I've decided to just post the photos instead and hope that they put a smile on your happy heart too.Related: My favourite summer flowers

And after a good hour or so, I ended up buying just one: A pink peony in full bloom. It struggled with the Hong Kong heat and withered faster than usual, but it was equally as beautiful dead than it was alive."Quality over quantity; one peony please."
