Video: Hong Kong's First Warehouse Conversion Hotel

You won't normally venture off to the south side on your first visit to Hong Kong, chances are you'll stay somewhere in Kowloon or Central Hong Kong Island to get a taste of this buzzing city. But if you make your way down to Wong Chuk Hang (a town on the south side of Hong Kong Island) you'll find a neighbourhood that has quickly become an arts district and home to Hong Kong's first warehouse conversion hotel - Ovolo Hotel. The former industrial neighbourhood has turned old factories and warehouses into hidden art galleries that I had the pleasure of visiting around town on the last few days of my recent trip.

[show_shopthepost_widget id="843193"]Ovolo Hotel's got that minimalist industrial aesthetic, one that always ticks the right boxes for interior in my books. Concrete floors, exposed brick walls, utilitarian steel furniture... You'll see all this in the video below of The Corner Room I stayed in.Hong Kong Attractions - Ovolo Warehouse Conversion Hotel SouthsideHong Kong Attractions - Ovolo Hotel Southside
What usually goes down when I check-in to my hotel rooms, alone. Haha!
