Video: Glamping in Daylesford Victoria, Australia with Cosy Tents
An hour and a half drive north-west from Melbourne and we reached Daylesford; a spa town located in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range in Victoria, Australia. Not bad for a weekend off the grid, spoilt with 'that glamping life' (thanks to Cosy Tents' new second location!) and surrounded by nature.
Travel Tip: Take the Calder Freeway route from Melbourne, it's a super scenic drive.
Where to stay in Daylesford
Just like my big grin above exudes, we're big fans of glamping here at The Love Assembly so naturally our top recommendation is to fall in love with the outdoors and check-in to a 5m Bell Tent with Cosy Tents. Styling and location is different from our first experience glamping in Mornington Peninsula but just as wonderful. Expect to be spoilt with an extremely comfortable bed, crisp white robes, quality warm blankets, and a bathroom that will most likely be more stylish than yours at home. Just sayin'.
Eating out in Daylesford
With a kitchen like this, we recommend packing your groceries - or doing a grocery run at the nearby supermarket - getting creative, and making the most out of it. Even though we did buy eggs and sourdough, for most mornings we enjoyed muesli and fruit for breakfast. Dinner on the first night was falafel wraps and vegetarian skewers + salad with mango chutney for the second. You also have the option to include a breakfast box in your stay with Cosy Tents for extra. You can feast your eyes on all these noms in our travel vlog below. Prefer to eat out and about? I recommend Larder cafe for lunch and Perfect Drop for din dins.

Shopping in Daylesford
My top three picks below for shopping in Daylesford are a definite must. They all offer something very unique to town and there's a little something for everyone. First up, The Amazing Mill Markets are definitely worth a visit. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of time here because it's huge! You will find clothing, vinyls, accessories, homewares, and everything in between. For vintage lovers, there's Upstairs at Alpha just a few steps from Larder Cafe. The blackboard and stairs reeled us in and just like The Mill Markets you'll find some really great unique items. Harry and Me is like a breath of fresh air. The curated products - from interiors and books to clothing and accessories - are a real delight and the sun beams into this beautiful boutique giving it a warm home feeling.
