All Aboard The Schaller Studio Tram
Like the subway is to NYC, the trams are to Melbourne. It's the kind of public transport that'll easily take you places around town and is one distinctive feature of the city. When I spent a weekend away in Bendigo we attended a POP-UP bar hosted by local restaurant, Rocks on Rosalind. It wasn't like any other POP-UP, it was one rolling around town on a tram painted by Mark Schaller - the dedicated artist behind the new boutique hotel in Bendigo, the Schaller Studio. We started with nibbles at the hotel then took a short stroll to all board the Schaller Studio tram for a ride around town with cocktails from Finn and Co. - so much FUN!
As soon as we boarded we took our seats on the stools right next to the window - there were jars filled with paint brushes and neon paint splatter on the bench that instantly caught my eye! The afternoon was vibrant in every little detail, and a success at not spilling any drinks whilst rolling along, sight seeing and sipping on pretty - and equally as delicious - drinks. Big thanks to Finn & Co. for hosting a great POP-UP and the delicious cocktails! If you're planning a weekend in Bendigo, don't miss a ride around town in this colourful tram! Here's a few other things that we got up to that you can also do in Bendigo.Where are your favourite places to spend a weekend away?
