Blueberry & Ricotta hotcakes at Top Paddock, Melbourne

1. Blueberry & ricotta hotcakes at Top Paddock

Starting with the big and the beautiful! The blueberry and ricotta hotcakes at Top Paddock tastes as good as it looks. Normally ordered for brunch but also perfect for dessert. You seemed to love it on instagram, along with CNTraveler. Just know that they’re big, like, really big. Make sure you order to share.Top Paddock: 658 Church St, Richmond Melbourne dessert: Meatball & Wine Bar

2. Salted caramel ice cream cake at Meatball & Wine Bar

Salted caramel anything is always a great choice in my books. Put a generous scoop on top of warm ginger cake, add nutella, mint sauce and berries and you officially have me drooling. This was a special - just a little fancier to their ‘whoopie mac’, a sandwich ice cream cookie where you choose your cookie base (chocolate, pistachio, meringue, lemon shortbread, ginger cake) then your ice cream (caramel, vanilla, chocolate, cherry). Yums all round!Meatball & Wine Bar: 135 Flinders Lane, Melbourne / 105 Swan St, Richmond Melbourne dessert: Cumulus Inc

3. Madeleines filled with lemon curd at Cumulus Inc.

These little bundles of joy are just so, so tasty. I don’t usually like the sourness of lemon desserts but these have a perfect balance. The 15 minutes are definitely worth the wait and a nice way to finish off a long charcuterie and wine filled lunch.Cumulus Inc.: 45 Flinders Ln, Melbourne Melbourne dessert: Taxi Kitchen

4. Couverture white chocolate mousse at Taxi Kitchen

The once fine dining restaurant of Taxi Dining in Federation Square relaunched earlier this year with a more relaxed approach and re-name of Taxi Kitchen. The dessert to try: couverture white chocolate mousse with fresh berries. It's so perfectly plated and satisfying to the sweet tooth. P.S The famous passionfruit souffle is also delicious!Taxi Kitchen: Federation Square, Cnr. Swanston & Flinders Streets, Melbourne Melbourne dessert: Vue De Monde's Lui Bar

5. Nutella donuts at Vue De Monde’s Lui Bar

A simple dessert done extremely well, accompanied with a fantastic cocktail selection - that are pretty darn good! - and breathtaking views of Melbourne make this a winning combination.Vue De Monde's Lui Bar: Level 55, Rialto 525 Collins St, Melbourne Melbourne dessert: Gelato Messina

6. Gelato at Gelato Messina

Even in the middle of winter Messina is always appropriate, if anyone ever tells you otherwise get rid of them, you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. Ha! Stick to their delicious signature flavours or check their specials board for a little something new.Gelato Messina: 237 Smith St, FitzroyRead more: Top 10 things to do in MelbourneHave you tried any of these mouth-watering desserts in Melbourne?
