Just as the quote goes… “Paris is always a good idea” -Audrey Hepburn
How can one leave their first visit to Paris without bringing home a souvenir from Diptyque? On our last day I visited their Saint-Germain Boutique and left with two candles, Gardenia and Baies – very fresh and floral scents. I got one in a standard size for the home and one in the mini travel size to keep my creature comforts close.
I was going to wait until I had posted all my adventures from Paris to share this video with you all but, after finishing the final edit earlier this week and showing it to my first viewer (my bf!) last night he wanted me to put it up right away. So here it is, the video diary from my current travels around Europe!
We linked our locks, our cadenas d’amour. Whether you believe in the reasons or not, ours was a symbol – a little part of us left behind in Paris, our first time in the romantic city. I wrote the words: “Whatever happens tomorrow, we’ll always have today” (the date + P♥P). Hopefully we’ll be able to come back and see what we once left behind.
We rented an apartment in the neighbourhood of the 17th, right next to Monmartre: la boheme. It said in the description that “you will only find locals living here, it’s very quiet with plenty of little restaurants, farmers markets and boulangerie.” It’s always nice to see how the locals live in another city so we were set for our home away from home.
