What is The Love Assembly?

Hola! I’m Aubrey, travel photographer, blogger and creative consultant. To put it simply, The Love Assembly is the art of designing a life you love. But I won’t just leave it at that, there are two fundamental elements that I passionately explore:

to live
Identifying and exploring an unconventional way of living through creative work, fulfilling work, excited-to-get-up-every-morning-and-work kind of work, because if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. Yes, cliche, but oh so true.

to travel
A collection of travel stories and photos to inspire you to go on more adventures. Because seeing new places, experiencing new cultures and meeting new people make us more happier in life than any other materiel thing ever could – it’s been scientifically proven!

I hope you will go out and let stories happen to you, and that you will work them, water them with your blood and tears and laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom. ❀

Where are you located?

Since I am a full time travel photographer, blogger and creative consultant. I’m never really in the same place for more than 3-4 weeks, sometimes 2 if things get really busy. I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Lived in Melbourne, Australia and based myself there for 2 years in between travels, and currently have all my things in storage while I hop between visiting my family in Sydney and travelling around the world while working. For my up-to-date current location, I normally have it on my Instagram profile.

What camera do you use?

I have three that I use on the regular: Canon 6D with 40mm pancake lens or 24-105mm f/4, Panasonic Lumix GX8 (mainly for videos) and Fuji Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic for instant tangible gratification. I also shoot on my iPhone 6 a lot. Here’s a more detailed explanation of my cameras and some photography tips..

What are your travel essentials?

Besides the obvious passport, my top travel essentials that I take with me regardless of what destination I am travelling to include: my cameras, macbook, iPhone, portable hard drive, hydrating face mist, sunglasses, headphones, a travel journal/notebook, eye drops and a never ending sense of curiosity.
